Welcome to Sweetgloss! I just want to take this time for you to get to know who I am as a makeup artist. Even though I've been in this industry for eight years, and I'm grateful for every day of it, I've had a love for the arts since I was a child. I would draw and paint on everything up until I was allowed to wear makeup. My inspiration for doing my own face would be the various looks in Seventeen Magazine—I would try to recreate those looks. I would also take spend my allowance money on makeup from the drug store, especially flavored lip-gloss which was my favorite accessory to buy...Hence the name Sweetgloss. |

What really pushed me forward to peruse this profession was an episode of Oprah featuring the amazing Kevyn Aucoin, the legendary makeup artist and photographer, whose talents and vision can still be seen today years after his passing in 2002. Needless to say, I was so blown away and from there I knew I wanted to be a makeup artist.I've worked with a wide variety of clients from major magazines such as People and KING to advertisements for Wal-Mart and ad campaigns for Coors Light. |
